Can anyone recomend any books about the paranormal? I'm seeking to learn more. I've seen lots of books but I don't know enough to know what's genuine and whats BS.
Thanks for the help.

Hi Rev, I have read a lot of different books what are you most interested in? Recarnation, books that were written by people on the other side and told through a living person, they were pretty good. Books on auras, parrellel lives, Pretty deep but O.K. Let me know. Patty

Really just general information books. I'm mainly interested in the spirit world and comunicating with it.
While I do believe in spirits wholeheartedly, I'm really kinda sceptical about believing in people who claim to be "sensitive". I recently picked up a Sylvia Brown book based on a friends recomenation and actually put it down halfway (something I never do) because I thought it was rediculous. Might have been the way it was written, but it just seemed sooo far fetched to me.

I feel the same way about Sylvia Brown. However, If you are familiar with the name John Edwards, I myself had tickets to see him and he actually came to my mom and myself. He was excellent and had no way at all of knowing these things he was telling us. He has a few books out, but I haven't read them. I read a book about 15 yrs. ago," ARTHUR FORD SPEAKS FROM BEYOND" I can't recall the author. He was an alcoholic in life and tells of his trials on the other side because of it. It was a very good book. Anything by Dr. Raymond Moody was good and Ruth Montgomery is another one. Good Luck! Patty

Thanks. I'll check out those authors. I am familiar with John Edwards. I've seen him on TV. A friend of mine went to see him once, and was amazed at what he was able to know. I've seen these types before and it almost seems as if they are very carefully prompting their subject and moving so quickly. My friend swears however that he was not prompted. He was very skeptical before he went. I've also heard about Lisa Williams. I don't know if she's written anything.

I LOVE John Edward and have seen him a few times. I have a book by Echo Bodine that I really like- "Relax, It's Only a Ghost". I also like the Ghosthunter's Guide book, I forget the author, but I'll look it up. It's pretty basic, but an easy read.
A lot of the stuff out there is BS, sorry to say it. It's a quick way for many to make a buck, and who's to say the info they write didn't happen? That's why its so easy.
