So what IS the best software to work with EVP? Or at least what are some good ones that people use? And where can you get them?

Well, there are lots of programs that you can download for a free trial. There is Goldwave, Audacity, Acoustica, Cool Edit Pro (You can't save anything on the trial edition), Adobe Audition (which used to be Cool Edit Pro). Adobe is, I believe, the most expensive of these ones to buy if you like it. I like it the best. I like Goldwave second best, but that just my preference. I think you have to pick one and really learn it. Go to download.com and they have most of them.

ok, so just the basic music editing software. ive worked with some of it before. i thought there mightve been a special EVP program that people in the field used. but i guess you cant beat the expertise and detail that the professional music programs give you. i have the full versions of some of them
