Any of our visitors have an EMF detector? What kind is it and what do you think of it?
We have a CellSensor and something else, I forget right now. In the few places we've used them, we haven't gotten any readings. That doesn't mean they don't work, but they haven't had to work yet!
I have heard though, that they don't work as well as another one does. Any thoughts?

I don't have one, even though I've considered purchasing one. And I've never used one, so I would also be interested to hear everyone's thoughts.

My group use a number of different types to primarily check the investigation environment for any em sources that could prejudice the results of the other equipment and experiments.
The models we use are: Gauss Master Spectral Electronics' 2G EMF Meter Spectral Electronics' Sapphire 2G EMF Meter CellSensor EMF
EMF Meters all work well if you use them for what they were originally designed: finding sources of EMFs. They are in no way shape or form 'ghost detectors!'

Do you find that the Gauss works better than the CellSensor in detecting EMF fluctuations?

For the most part yes, as I find that the range of the CellSensor in general is very limited. I've tried using 4 different CellSensor units myself and with each unit I found you have to have the probe very close to the EM source. In one case I found that the probe had to be touching an emergency light before it would register it, whereas the Gauss detected it from about 2 metres away.

Hi Ghostbuster88. We don't advocate going into any suspected haunted spots without permission! Basically, a camera, flashlight and recorder are good tools to start with.

H Anthony...welcome to the message boards....Ghost hunting is a very expensive hobby, but like Amy already said, a camera, flashlight and a voice recorder is a good start
