I've read an issue or two of thier magazine and I've always thought that the GHU sounded cool, but haven't been able to figure out exactly what the Ghost Hunter University is. Can you explain a little more? Have you been to one?
Thanks

Nope. Haven't been to one, but I'll tell you what I know. (The cost includes a donation to the museum, which we thought was great because they really could use it!)
There will be around 25-30 people at this one. You'll learn about the history of the house and the haunted stories. Christopher will do a presentation on ghosthunting, all the basics: how to use different equipment, how to capture evidence and analyze it, and he'll talk about his experiences and theories. After the seminar and history lesson, we'll have an actual ghost hunt in the house and on the grounds with Christopher. We'll get to see how he conducts his investigation and uses his equipment. Everyone that attends will get a Certificate of Completion.
Reservations are already being taken, so if you are interested, you should sign up now!! We feel the house is very haunted. "They" also don't particularly like when people go there to "find" them so it should be very interesting!
About the magazine, the new issue is absolutely awesome! If you haven't read it, you should! It's sold in places in Manhattan and in Jersey, but not in Staten Island. If you want a list of places, let me know-NY or NJ. I found it at Borders in East Brunswick.

Amy,
Thanks for the response. It sounds very interesting and I'm going to see if I can work out going. I live close enough to the museum, but I have to try to rework my schedule a bit. I would love to attend.
I do like the magazine a lot, but know I haven't been able to get it on Staten Island. I would prefer to know where to get it in New Jersey, as we usually do our weekend shopping there.

Do folks know whether this will be repeated any time soon?

They were supposed to come back in September, but plans changed on their end and they won't be coming back now. The last one didn't have the attendance we had hoped, so it was hard to convince them to come here for September. Maybe in the future, but I'd have to have more people that say they'd definitely come.
