That is a very interesting shot. Did anyone notice anything else in this room? Or did this just show up on film?

I actually took this photograph. I tried several times to "recreate" the photo standing in the same spot, with the same lighting, within seconds of taking this shot. Since I was using a digital camera where the photos show up immediately on the screen, I found that the only thing to repeatedly show up in the photos was the round flash reflection that is sort of cut off on the window frame all the way to the left of...whatever showed up in my photo. LOL Other than that, I could not "recreate" what appears to be a small child outside of the window. Without giving too much away (more info available on our Ghost Tours of Snug Harbor), the legend states that a son murdered his mother in the building and when he was eventually caught, he was hung right outside from a tree. Now, I'm not claiming that this image is THAT child, but it's interesting enough to wonder. Thanks for your interest!

Also...to answer your question...no one else seemed to get anything on film or on recordings...but several guests on the Ghost Tours reported seeing orbs in their photos from that same room. I am personally not a firm believer in orbs, but that is not to say that they are a moot point either. Orbs are a touchy subject to most paranormal investigators because there are SO many other things that could attribute to the strange circular objects that seem to show up unexpectedly in photos. Indoors, you run the risk of having dust kick up and end up in your photos, or poor lighting playing tricks with your camera. Outdoors, you have many more possiblities, such as rain, smoke, snow, blowing hair and light again. Of course those are just a few possibilites.

Kristi,
Thanks so much for the explanation. I find the picture to be fascinating and the one thing that caught my attention about it the most is that you only see something in the ONE pane of glass. All of the others contain nothing. so I found that to be very interesting. It's a great shot.
I also don't put any stock in orbs; I think there are too many things that appear as orbs and I have never seen anything that would convince me that they are anything more than dust, etc.

I have had some experience with photographic orb. I tried a technique that I have used on them to gently enhance the image. The results were quite interesting. How can I post the picture?

Well, thanks x5ilentninjax for that detailed reponse. LOL!
Monk, can you put it on photobucket and post the link? Otherwise, email it to me. I'd like to see what you've done.
