Which ones are your favorite and which ones can you do without? It doesn't matter what type, as long as they're paranormal related. It could be fiction or documentary, either one. Explain why you either like or dislike the show(s).

Although I started the TV SHOW thread...I will contribute to get the ball rolling. LOL I'm a fan of Discovery Channel's...A Haunting. I know some people may not care for it, but whether you watch it to gain knowledge of hauntings or simple for a "good scare", I think it's a pretty good show. I've learned a bit from it and I've enjoyed being scared out of my mind. LOL If you haven't already...check it out!

My favorite is obviously Ghost Hunters. I enjoy the show completely and will be happy when new episodes finally air.

I'm such a bad one to ask about this because I'm so skeptical! LOL!! Isn't that funny to hear??!! I'm a person who has to be there or has to have respect for someone there before I can believe it.
I sometimes like A Haunting. I really liked the Sallie House one, but the reason is because I've spoken with people who have been there and who have verified the things that happen there. I've seen actual photos taken at the house.
I used to like GH, but I do feel that you don't get the big picture. I'm not saying it's faked, just that you don't get the whole story. It is a TV show. You wouldn't watch it for an hour if they sat there quietly in the dark! LOL!
I guess I'd have to say that I don't have a favorite show, just favorite episodes. I have one I absolutely hate- Most Haunted!

I think that if you've done any ghost hunting, you are aware that there is a lot of waiting around with nothing going on, so it doesn't bother me that Ghost Hunters doesn't show that; it would make for some boring TV. I thought their live show on Halloween night was mostly very good. It gave you a very clear picture of how it really goes. But I do understand that a lot of people may not like GH.
Most Haunted is horrible and a Haunting doesn't really interest me much either.

what channel is ghost hunters on? i thought i had seen it before, but cant find it on tv anywhere. anyway, i actually like most haunted, theyve shown some things on that show that really looked legit (ie. nothing in the camera shot that couldve moved what was mysteriously moved, etc.). i do get annoyed though when theyre like, "can you make a noise for us?" in their brit accents, then when there's a noise, yvette's like "what was that?? what was that? did u hear that? what was that?"
a haunting is ok but i like the actual ghost hunting type of show and not the documentary type, explain-it-post-occurence, acted out style show.

Ghost Hunters is on Sci-Fi, but there aren't any new ones til June. SOmetimes they have marathons. Most Haunted has been proven to have been faked on many occasions. It's just so dramatic, too!! I can't take them! Now, "Scared!"'s episode that was shot on Staten Island, that's a great one that shows the actual hunting....................... Ok, it's not really out yet, but we're in it! LOL!! The trailer is up on their site: www.myspace.com/scaredtv Email them and they'll send you a free DVD of one of their past episodes. They don't fake evidence- they show it how it is. If they find nothing, you see nothing, BUT the show itself is so well done that you don't mind watching anyway.

Well, I'm not vaildating the credibility of ANY of the shows, but I do like "A Haunting" for the simple fact that it is entertaining and I am interested in the paranormal. I also enjoy GH, because they do exactly what WE do, but on a larger scale of course. I think it's great that these shows have developed such a following. Their fan base is amazing.
I'll be honest though, I absolutely DISLIKE "Most Haunted". I am a skeptic by nature, but curious enough to WANT to find proof...and that show does NOTHING for me at all. I am not entertained by it in the least, in fact...I find it quite annoying. I think they are very whiny. LOL

I love Ghost Hunters!!! My favorite guys are Dustin and Steve. I really liked the episode of the Lighthouse and when they were in the old Monk House thing in Ireland. I forgot the name of that ep, LOL, but it was really good. They got a lot of good stuff on that one. My neighbor is the director of an Independent Film Company Lake Films, he's good friends with one of the guys on 'Scared', Chris Mancuso. I met Chris on his project with Lake Films, he's a great guy. I'm going to be watching the show when I get my laptop up and running again. LOL. I like A Haunting as well. My favorite episode was Sallie's House

LOL..Dave I agree...I'm not to crazy about the show Most Haunted..seems a bit staged...and all they do is run around and scream...Ghost hunters, in my opinion, is the most realistic ghost show...they are on the sci-fi channel wed @ 8

I like them but I just don't think any of the shows are valid. The main problem is they come up with so many episodes and so rapidly that it seems as if they take a town myth and overdramatize it to the point some people actually begin to believe it far too much. And some I think they just make up so they have something to show.

Dan...Yes I agree...Did you watch the live episode when they went to eastern state? Well the main woman ( I dont know her name) seemed to be sooooo scared, almost like "what am I doing here?" But when you watch the show, she seems okay and brave..I understand they edit and change things, but she would jump and scream if someone in the group would burp....and I'm sorry, but as a ghost hunter not every single place you go to is haunted, and not every single place you go to someone gets possessed or grabbed like they have on that show...I just don't believe it at all...I feel they are giving the public what they want to see, not the truth like TAPS does...

Haven't seen that episode. Then again I'm not at home much anymore between school, going to social events, hanging out with people anywhere and trying to find a job, don't have much time for television.
